All Martin and Needham Ag Closing systems use the same hubs. They come with SeedXTreme 5203 bearings for extended wear, and because they are the same as Gauge wheel bearings giving simplicity in field. Bearings are common, and these closing systems carry the same bolt patterns
Closing Systems for JD,KINZE, and Vaderstad
- Martin 15 inch Single Spiked wheel closing System. Designed to work next to either a 13inch rubber or cast factory fitted closing wheel, the 15 inch wheel is designed to go down the side of the seed trench, and help close it without forcing the trench closed from the top. This is a great tool for Min-Till, Strip-Till or No-Till in lighter soil types. Great for operators who have multiple different planting conditions to deal with. Used Conjunction with Drag Chains, they create a surface that will not have the same surface tension, making it easier for the plants to emerge even after rain events
- Martin 13 inch Dual Spike wheel Closing System. The Ultimate No-Till Setup. Solid, Simple in design the twin 13 inch wheels are designed to bolt on where the Factory wheels go, and close the seed trench by cutting in beside the trench and closing the trench to ensure good seed to soil contact. Used in Conjunction with Drag Chains to roll over the surface this system gives great closing and does not leave the trench closed with any unnecessary compaction on top of the seed
- Needham 20 Point Poly Closing Wheels. The 20 point poly closing wheels close the slot without requiring excessive downforce, working best in Min-TIll and Conventional Tillage Conditions. Made from UHMW Poly these wheels wear just as well as the steel ones and also give Flexibility which helps mud clearing in challenging conditions.
- Drag Chains. Often over looked because of there simplicity in Design, good drag chains are a Valuable addition to planter closing systems. Pulling a Fist full of soil they level after Martins Closing systems, evening out the soil for better drying, prevent drying past the seed depth, and ensuring more even emergence. Great in all tillage situations.
Closing System for CNH 1200-1250 and 2000 Series Planters
- Marin SCW-95ZC Closing System. Designed specifically for the CNH planter these 9.5inch wheels replace the existing smooth closing discs. As a Razar wheel these are designed to work in cover crops, and is designed to close seed trench with minimal downforce.
