Identical Groups – It will make all turns in the same direction, making it less efficient for headland travel. Used for smaller implements. These are normally hitched and used without overshoot. Typically, want to skip a minimum of 2 passes. It will make all turns in the same direction. Less efficient for headland travel.
Alternate Groups - This will switch turning direction when starting a new group, making it efficient for headland travel. Used for smaller implements. These are normally hitched and used without overshoot. Typically, want to skip a minimum of 2 passes.
Skip Pass – This will skip 1 pass, leading to have 2 swath widths to turn around in. Typically used with tillage or planting. A smaller swath width will likely require more overshoot than desired, leading to needing more space on the headland desired.
Harvest – This will go either inside or outside, to unload on one side of the machine over already harvested ground.
